Keeping Shoppers In Connacht

Updated : Dec 5, 2008

One West of Ireland businessman claims to have come up with an alternative to crossing the border for your christmas shopping.

Tom Naughton has opened the N17 Grocery Price Club in a warehouse in Milltown along the busy N17 route on the Galway-Mayo border.

He hopes sourcing goods directly from manufacturers and cutting out the middle men will mean lower groceries prices and encourage shoppers to forfeit the long queues to the North and stay within our borders.

Very Happy Pig likes this idea..... You can have your say on cross-border shopping in our.... you guessed it...'Have Your Say' section
