Mum Donates €10k To Research

The mother of a meningitis sufferer has donated a €10,000 prize she won to help doctors research the deadly disease.
Jenni Carlos, from Cobh in Co. Cork won the money in the Lyons Extraordinary Charity Giveaway. She said: “ I am thrilled that I can provide support to the Meningitis Research Foundation. My daughter was diagnosed with meningitis and septicaemia in May last year but she made a miraculous full recovery.â€
