Monument For Firefighters

A monument will be erected to honour heroic firefighters Brian Murray and Mark O’Shaughnessy, it was announced yesterday.
The brave pair died in 2007 in Bray, Co. Wicklow while fighting an inferno at a disused warehouse. The sculpture will be designed by a local artist.
Councillor John Brady said: “This will be a fitting tribute to Brian and Mark, serving as a reminder to people of the sacrifice of the men and their families in protecting people and property in town.”
