New York Street Named After U2
Updated : Mar 14, 2009
U2 has had a New York street renamed temporarily to honour their career in music. Manhattan’s West 53rd Street has been renamed 'U2 Way'.
The group are currently in New York for a week-long stint as house band on 'The Late Show' with David Letterman. They are making history by becoming the first group to play a week of shows on the programme.
The Irish rockers were also out shovelling snow off the pavement beside the studio during the Monday night show. Letterman joked that he would be giving them a different job every day of the week.
U2 are promoting their new album, 'No Line on the Horizon'.
VeryHappyPig thinks U2 rock, yeah!!
