300 Schoolgirls Get Vital Cancer Jab F.O.C
Updated : Mar 2, 2009
A team of doctors in north Co. Dublin are to give up to 300 schoolgirls the vital cervical cancer vaccination free of charge, and it's all thanks to a consortium of well known business men from Ireland. Dr. Reilly from Dublin said â€This is a very important vaccine that can prevent cervical cancer. This cancer causes around 70-80 deaths per year in Ireland and many more people suffer disability and infertility as a result of the disease."
Believe it or not, over 28,000 schoolgirls need the shot in Ireland, but in a Government brain-dead budget cut, they dropped the plan. The shots will be administered to the 300 lucky kids in the next week in the north of Dublin. The business men remain unnamed but should be hailed heroes.
VeryHappyPig thinks I can speak for everyone when I say shame on the Irish Government!
