Big Toddle Race And Litter Conscious Kids

Irish toddlers are preparing to take part in the Danone Big Toddle, a half-mile sponsored toddle for our tiny athletes. Charity Barnardos have teamed up with the Danone, the yoghurt makers for the special event and every cent raised goes directly to the essential work Barnardos does with vulnerable children in Ireland. Meanwhile, a group of seven-year-olds have set a great example by taking part in the Spring Clean 2009 campaign. The youngsters from Gardiner Street primary school where the first to sign up for the anti-litter campaign. Environment Minister John Gormley said: "I am very proud of them. They are the first to volunteer to help make a country cleaner."
