Gardai Crack Mystery Behind Polish Diver
Updated : Feb 22, 2009
The Gardai have been after a Polish driver who has committed more then 50 motoring offences for several months only to have the mysterious 'Prawo Jazdy' produce his documents every time - but with a different address each time.
However, they have now discovered that 'Prawo Jazdy' is actually Polish for driving licence
.
An internal Garda memo, which has been leaked to the media, said officers taking details of Polish traffic offenders had been incorrectly using 'Prawo Jazdy', printed in the top right corner of the driving licence, as the driver’s name.
"Prawo Jazdy is actually the Polish for driving licence and not the first and surname on the licence," the garda memo stated, "It is quite embarrassing to see the system has created Prawo Jazdy as a person with over 50 identities."
