The Simpsons Get A Makeover
Updated : Feb 19, 2009
The opening sequence to The Simpsons is to change for the first time in 20 years.
New scenes are to be introduced to the opening credits to drag Homer and co into the 21st Century. While the basic elements will stay the same - Homer at the plant, Maggie at the supermarket checkout, Lisa playing the saxophone, Bart racing home and a couch gag, the opening sequence will be longer and include new jokes, modern references and guest star appearances.
The new scenes will include Bart’s skateboard journey being interrupted by Apu and his eight newborn kids, Lisa’s school friends playing Nintendo DS games and Grandpa Simpson being added to the car scene in which Marge beeps her horn.
VeryHappyPig is a huge Simpsons fan, I’ve been told I kinda look like Homer…. I’ve decided to take it as a compliment!
