Bertie Bassett Finally Weds His Sweetheart!

Bertie Bassett has finally wed his sweetheart after celebrating his 80th year in power! The workers at the Bassett factory, where the world famous sweets (Bassett Allsorts) are made, got time off work from the factory in Sheffield in the UK to attend the wedding of their mascot, Bertie who wed his sweetheart(Betty)!
Betty Bassett is the new face of the red liquorice allsorts and is the first character to be added top the Bassett family since 1929! Factory manager “Shaun Wagstaff was Bertie’s best man at the Bassetts factory, which produce over 14million sweets a day!"
