Sky News Is 20 Today!

The first ever 24-hour news channel Sky News is celebrating its 20th birthday today. Sky News was, until recently, the only channel to bring us live coverage on the spot from the four corners of the globe!
In 2000, Sky News introduced the worlds first interactive TV service, Sky News Active. This year it brought us round the clock coverage of such historic events as the first African American president Barrack Obama. Sky News did a brief stint in Ireland with a Sky News Ireland station but as it wasn’t attracting the viewers, they pulled out of Ireland.
VeryHappyPig is thinking of launching an around the clock news channel. Or maybe not, I likes my sleep a little too much, I do!
