Irish Piggy Set For TV Fame

Updated : Feb 5, 2009

An Irish-born piggy is on her way to TV success after landing a series on children’s TV channel Nickelodeon.

Olivia the Piglet was created by Brown Bag Films and is based on the books of the same name, which have sold six million copies in America.

The series director, Daragh O’Connell, who co-founded Brown Bag Films said: “It premiered last Monday so it’s just started and it won’t be coming here until September or so.”

The company have spent almost €6million and three years on bringing the programme to life and thankfully, it seems to be getting good reviews.

VerHappyPig thinks Olivia might be one of my many, many off-spring!!
