Top Films To Be Subtitled “As Gaeilge†And Txt Spk Goes Irish

Fine Gael Minister, Gay Mitchell, wants all top films in cinemas around the country to have Irish subtitles on at St. Patrick’s Day! The plan is only in place for St. Patrick’s Day in order to give a traditional feel to the day!
A linguist is also promoting the Irish language by charting the use of "txt spk" as Gaeilge.
Dr Muiris O Laoire, from the Tralee Institute of Technology, has made up a list of the most commonly used Irish short phrases while texting, in a hope to encourage and speed up the use of the cupla focal on mobiles.
