Tara Mines Save All 670 Jobs And Take On More Staff!
Updated : Jan 23, 2009
Europe’s largest Zinc mine has seemed to reach a deal with their 670 employees which sees a pay freeze for the company workers but the freeze will save their jobs! Some of the older miners will be made redundant but a redundancy package is in place for the workers.
The workers affected by the changes will be offered a financial bonus and there will be some extra staff employed in the Zinc Mines.
Before protective notices were issued on the miners, the company had warned that if a deal was not reached, it was likely most of the jobs would be lost indefinitably.
VeryHappyPig thinks this is a good move forward.
