Stolen Mobility Scooter Driver Caught Drunk
Updated : Jan 16, 2009
A woman who stole a mobility scooter from outside a shop was found to be twice of the drink drive limit and has now been banned from driving.
Amanda Leaff, 46, took the 2.4mph buggy after a boozy night out and attempted to drive home.
When Manchester police caught up with her 2 and half miles into the 10 mile journey, she was found to be too drunk to drive. Leaff has now been banned from driving for 20 months after admitting taking the buggy without consent and driving while unfit!
VeryHappyPig says she obviously needed the buggy if she was unfit.... it was a 10 mile journey afterall!
