Austria Meets Donegal And Walks In A National Park!!
Updated : Oct 15, 2009
Journalists from leading newspapers and lifestyle and outdoor magazines from Austria were in the north-west last week, to experience the wonderful walking product and places of interest in this part of the island. Carefully selected and invited here by Tourism Ireland in Vienna, the journalists’ itinerary was designed by Fáilte Ireland and included walking in the Glencolmcille area as well as a visit to Glenveagh National Park.
The visit of these influential journalists is part of Tourism Ireland’s press visit programme, which aims to increase awareness of the north-west and the island of Ireland among key journalists and opinion-formers overseas, and ultimately potential holidaymakers. Simone Korb, Tourism Ireland Austria, said: “Media visits such as these are extremely important, assisting us to raise the profile of the fantastic walks and trails Donegal has to offer. The publicity value of the articles these journalists will write is fantastic – they will be read by thousands of potential holidaymakers around Austria.”
VHP has often being bombarded by Austrian tourist's and Press,Being a Irish national tresure is hard enough work!
