Thieves To Take New Year's Day Off

Updated : Dec 18, 2008

Criminals will be targeting homes on Christmas Day but will take a break on New Year's Day, it was revealed yesterday.

Netwatch, a security company, said 30 percent of break-ins happen between 3am and 6am on Christmas morning and 72 percent of all thefts happen between Dec. 25th and 28th.

However, Irish burglars like to take a break on New Year's Day with 95 percent having the day off.

VeryHappyPig says make sure you don't mistake Santa for a burglar on Christmas morning!
