Report Claims Nightclubs Should Open Untill 4am!

The Irish Nightclub Industry Association has published a report today pushing its case for an extension of nightclub opening hours.
The association wants nightclubs in Dublin to be allowed serve alcohol until 4am every morning and those outside the capital to be allowed serve until 2.30am.
It says this is one of a number of licensing reforms which could help generate an extra €95m for the Exchequer every year.
Economist Constantin Gurdgiev, the author of the report, says this increase would not result from higher alcohol consumption, but from people attending nightclubs rather than drinking at home.
VeryHappyPig agrees totally with the reports findings. Nothing to do with the fact that VHP would love to be able to party till 4am!
