Another Week More Jobs

Updated : Jun 15, 2009

VeryHappyPig can once more start the week with good job news as thirty-eight jobs are being created with the expansion of two companies in Dublin and Meath.

Financial software developer Sophis Group is pouring €1.7m into its research and development facility in the capital.

The investment will see 13 new engineering jobs at the company’s Fitzwilliam Lane offices.

In Clonee, Co Meath, printing tool company Wetzel Holding AG is to create 25 jobs at a new €5m technology production operation.

Tánaiste Mary Coughlan said the investments were a major boost for Ireland’s research and development sector.

“They are also a significant vote of confidence in both Irish plants’ abilities,” she said.

The investments are supported by the taxpayer through IDA Ireland.
