Green could replace black as the funeral colour theme if a recent Irish survey turns out to be correct. A study on envirionmentally friendly funerals discovered that Irish people are open to having trees or plant markings graves in place of the traditional headstone or marble.
Biodegradable caskets and online books of condolences were also popular choices.
The survey was carried out CUNA Mutual.
