Updated : Jun 1, 2009
Actor and UN ambassador Ralph Fiennes today paid a visit to Irish soldiers in Chad.
Fiennes was in Goz Beida where he dropped in on Irish troops in Camp Ciara as part of the UN Mission MINURCAT.
The 'Schindler's List' actor met troops from 100 and 99 Infantry Battalions who are handing over to each other currently, with 99 Infantry Battalion coming home next week.
Fiennes is the latest celebrity to chat with the troops after fellow actor George Clooney paid a visit earlier in the year.
