Manchester Football Stars Get Happy News
There was good news for two Manchester based Irish footballers today.
Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson confirmed, John O’Shea will start in Wednesday nights Champions League Final and Manchester City’s Stephen Ireland was voted player of the year for the blues.
O’Shea was a substitute in lat years final against Chelsea last year but his manager confirmed he will start one of the biggest games in world football this time round.
Meanwhile Cork man Ireland ended Richard Dunne’s three year reign as Man City player of the year. Ireland has enjoyed a brilliant season and out shone super stars such as the €40,00000 Robhino to be nominated for PFA Young Player of the Year and claim the Manchester City player of the year gong.
Irish Man Completes Oz Cycle
An Irish man who lost five stone so he could undertake a six week cycle across Australia in aid of Burren Chernobyl completed his journey this week.
Andy Carroll completed the 4000km trip on Monday.
ISS In The Sky
The International Space Station ISS will be visible in Irish Skies until this weekend.
The Station is visible to the naked eye and ca sometimes be up to a 100 times brighter the stars.
Astronomy Ireland has set up a text service which provides daily predictions of the times the ISS will pass over. Sky Watchers can text Space to 57003.
