Punter wins biggest ever Irish prize

There was one person who wasn’t reliant on Ireland’s only dedicated happy news portal, Very Happy Pig, for his daily pick up this week after he beat the bookies and collected a massive 650,000 on Monday morning.
The Limerick man, who’s Dublin based job was on protective notice won the life changing sum of money with just a fiver after predicting 17 soccer results correctly.
The 130,000-1 odds are the highest ever soccer pay out in Ireland and was bookies Ladbrokes fifth largest ever world wide payout.
“I’ve been on protective notice at my job, so for my wife and my family this could not come at a better time,” the delighted punter revealed in a statement.
