Updated : Mar 31, 2009

Home Instead Senior Care, Ireland's leading provider of home care services to seniors, has announced the opening of three new offices with the creation of 150 new jobs within the next 18 months. Waterford and Tipperary officially opened this week while the Drogheda office is due to open its doors this month..

The Waterford office has been established by Danette and Michael Connolly, who are well regarded in Waterford business circles as the owners of Nursing and Allied Services, the South East leading nursing recruitment agency. The Tipperary office, based in Thurles, is owned by Michael and Marie Wright who have extensive backgrounds in the pharma industry.

According to Ed Murphy, Chief Executive of Home Instead, the demand for its services has been phenomenal. “Since 2005, 14 Home Instead branches have opened in Ireland with our 15th office opening in Drogheda next month. The formula is really quite simple – Home Instead delivers premium care to seniors and enables them to remain living independently in their own homes.”
“Our range of services can be tailor made to suit the individual and the levels of care vary from companionship, meal preparation, personal care to Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Our care-givers are carefully matched to each client’s needs and personalities and in some cases are an extension of the family.”

As winner of the Irish franchise of the year award in 2008 Home Instead already provides employment to over 1000 Care-givers across the country and the opening of the three new offices is expected to create a further 150 full and part time positions. Care-givers, who under go a comprehensive initial screening / training programme provide a wide range of home care services from companionship, meal preparation, personal care to Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Care-givers are carefully matched to each client’s preferences and personalities. All home care services are monitored by quality assurance visits, to ensure that all the client’s needs are met.
