Updated : Mar 26, 2009
New Romantic stalwarts and 1980s heart throbs Spandau Ballet have got back together and will play a reunion tour later this year with their first concert at the O2 in Dublin on October 13th, they have announced.
The news comes over twenty years since their split and ten since much of the group were involved in a bitter lawsuit over songwriting royalties. Confirming the news today, singer Tony Hadley said "we're very happy boys" and revealed plans for dates across the globe.
Hadley, joined by Steve Norman, John Keeble, Martin and Gary Kemp, told reporters: "We've had a rehearsal which sounded a million dollars."
Spandau will play the following shows in the UK and Ireland:
October 2009
13 Dublin O2
14 Belfast Odyssey Arena
16 Sheffield Arena
17 Glasgow SECC
20 London O2 Arena
24 Birmingham NEC
26 Newcastle Metro Radio Arena
28 Manchester MEN Arena
