3D TV Could Be In Homes In Three Years
Updated : Mar 23, 2009
We could be watching 3D TV (moving holograms, for normal people!) within three years, experts are predicting.
Researches at Cambridge University believe the moving holograms will revolutionise television and render current two dimensional sets obsolete. The 3D effect is created using liquid crystals and nanotechnology. The technique takes normal two-dimensional LCDs and adds tiny carbon nanotubes to normal liquid crystal to the surface creating a 3D ‘cube‘. (Don’t worry, I haven’t a clue what that means either!)
Project leader Dr Tim Wilkinson said: "If we keep going as we are, then in three to five years 3D-TV could happen."
VeryHappyPig is so excited……… imagine watching porn on 3D!
